Hoytt Enterprises is a family-owned real estate company, founded in 1954. We are long-term owners and operators of neighborhood retail, residential, and waterfront assets across the San Francisco Bay Area. We work directly with our tenants and neighbors to bring essential services to our communities.
We also selectively invest alongside operating partners in retail, residential, and hospitality projects in New York and California.
Chou Hoytt oversees the business. He first ran the family’s real estate from 2011 to 2017 and returned to lead it in 2023. In between, he earned an MBA from Stanford and founded a venture-backed real estate technology company. He also holds a BA in Economics from Georgetown University and an MSc from the London School of Economics.
David Hood advises the portfolio on asset management and strategy. He is a Senior Advisor at Sonen Capital and previously oversaw real estate at Stanford Management Company. He holds an MBA in Real Estate from Harvard Business School and a BA in Political Science from Stanford University.
